The algorithm used by GoldSim to compute concentrations and fluxes associated with Cells is discussed in detail in Appendix B of the Contaminant Transport User’s Guide.
Although it is not necessary for you to understand the details of this algorithm in order to use Cells in your models, there are several situations in which at least a basic understanding of the Cell solution algorithm is necessary in order to maximize the computational efficiency of your model and the accuracy of the results.
