GoldSim provides shortcut keys for inserting a number of commonly-used elements. These are all used by holding the Ctrl key down while selecting a number:

The element is inserted wherever the cursor is currently located and the properties dialog is opened. If t he cursor is outside of the graphics pane, the element will be inserted in the upper left-hand corner of the graphics pane.
